Covid-19 An Update for Residents
Message from the council
It's clear from the Prime Minister's recent Covid-19 statement that we must continue to follow the rules to avoid a return to full national lockdown. Nationally, numbers of Covid-19 cases have increased. The government has squeezed the brakes on a further easing of lockdown. From 8 August, we will all have to wear facemasks in additional venues.
Thanks to everyone's hard work so far, the incidence and rate of community transmission is currently low in South Gloucestershire. But we can't be complacent if we're to prevent a second wave locally. Please keep safe and help keep others safe by washing hands, covering faces, keeping your distance – and getting a test if you have symptoms.
